This memorial stands on a man-made hill (soil from original battle area)

Stop at the Loyalist Memorial, a sculpture created by Canadian Jacobine Jones
and unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in July of 1959. It stands
in recognition of the contributions made by the early settlers of Upper
Canada.

This memorial contains tomb stones of well known local residents that were
rescued form eight cemeteries along the river front. These residents were
